Well, I have joined my first “-Along” and I’m very excited! It’s Knit-o-Rama’s Man-Along! My entry is the Manly Sweater from Stitch n’ Bitch.
I’m making it with an 80% Merino Wool/20% Cashmere blend in a tweedy Olive. No stripe, please.
The Man-Along is also a contest. There will be a prize for the best-looking sweater AND the best-looking sweater wearer. Oh the primping we will do! I’m going to make hubby look like he’s just spent a week in the bathroom with Kyan! (mmmmm . . . Kyyyaaaan)
” I’m going to make hubby look like he’s just spent a week in the bathroom with Kyan”
You want your husband to have a week-long gay affair? So what are you going to be doing while he’s otherwise occupied? *wiggles eyebrows*
As long as he came out of there with a decent shave and supple skin, The Hub and Kyan could do whatever they wanted!
Hey, glad to see the website update went well, it looks great! I hear you on Running With Scissors, maybe I’ll check out Sedaris next. I have not read him before. I very much loved Geek Love, it’s one of my favorites. You’re also right on not enough cars with flames. My dream car as a teen was a black karmengia (sp?) with flames (part Pretty In Pink, part Grease). Maybe I’ll see you at the Knit Out on Sunday??
Well, I hope to see you there. I’ve been meaning to pick up Me Talk Pretty… I’ll definitely do so now. Here’s my real email – melaniebrockert@hotmail.com

Good luck on the blog and the Manly Sweater. My yarn should be here in a few days, so we will have to compare progress in a few weeks. You have a great start already!
-Nice Knits (my husband came up with my blog name..can you tell)
stitchy!
love the manly sweater. i have about 2 lbs of the same olive tweed yarn from webs…is that enough? how much do you have- and what size needles are you using? it looks wonderful!
-heather
I have 2 lbs of this yarn as well. I’m using size 8 needles and the guage was spot-on! It seems like it’ll be plenty. I’m making size small, so I may even get a scarf out of it! Also, the yarn doesn’t feel that great when you’re knitting it up, but make a swatch and wash it, you’ll be glad you did!
