Oh my goodness! It’s a mess in here! I need to clean up. We’re having very special company today. Today I told my best girlfriend, Charlene, about this blog. I’ve been keeping it on the QT for a while because I was afraid she would think I was a dork writing a whole blog about knitting (she’s not a knitter), but I couldn’t stand it any more and invited her to pop in and have some coffee. Everyone be on your best behavior.
Hi Charlene! -waving madly at her sistergirlfriend- Welcome!
Hahahaha.
I just disclosed mine to my best friend as well. It was a nail bitting experience. Which reminds me, I haven’t heard from her in awhile? Perhaps I scared her off?! 15 years of friendship and all it took was a knitting blog?
Hi Charlene, we’re not total weirdos just a little obsessed!

You’re a brave woman! I’ve told some family, but I’m afraid to extend it to friends. [g]

ooooh, so does this mean we can’t use foul launguage in your comments anymore? If that’s the case, I’m gonna be hard pressed! The one good thing about co-authoring your knit blog with your best friend is that there’s always FULL disclosure.
Hi Charlene!
How is that you haven’t gotten your friend over to the dark side, er, I mean knitting?
No doubt Ms. Charlene will succumb to the dark side once she sees how cool this blog is. She’ll want to be a part of it and will feel that she has to learn how to knit in order to do so. Hey, it don’t matter how they get here as long as they get here. Let me extend a hearty welcome in advance to our newest member, Charlene!!
Heh – I just started my blog and told my cousin about it (she is teaching herself to crochet). I got an e-mail back saying she visited it, but wondered if this means I’m becoming obsessed with knitting.
Yes. Yes, I am.
Hi Everyone! ~waving tentatively~
That’s quite a blog ya got here Stitchy! Even as a non-knitter it’s hilarious. (She’s always been the funniest person I know, it’s great it’s out there for the whole world to see now.) I don’t know if it’ll change my mind about knitting though. I’m still scarred from a well-intentioned but seriously fashion-impaired mother knitting clothes for me as a child. Maybe I’ll dig up some photos for you all to see. It’s going to take a lot to separate those ghastly childhood experiences from the world of knitting, although I must say Stitchy here is doing a very good job of making it seem cool. But then again, my mom is the same person who taught her to knit, so you guys can see my mental dilemma. I can’t make any promises but I will at least withhold judgement and proudly wear any knitted gifts I receive (though please, I beg of you do NOT knit me a biking outfit, no matter how funny it seems.) And please don’t stop swearing on my account!
Charlene
Oh my GOD!! I had heard rumors of such a blog but I thought that V was having some sort of brain fart. Long ago in a gift shop not so far away this evil brewed. I remember gummy things of all shapes and sizes. Strange white trash gatherings. Stitchy you are a laugh out loud riot still!! Hey Charelene!! OK I did almost fall out of my chair at the pictures. My great uncle still at 89 knits most of those items weekly. Need any slippers?Hee Hee Hee
