Spend your days relaxing poolside or floating around that bactieria frappe at your condo in confidence!

Whether emerging from your watery lair or descending into it, now you can count on the moisture-wicking capabilities of Suckcrylic brand fiber! Never again will you suffer the embarrassment of a sopping wet swimming sweater or a soggy hairpiece that leaks.*

*Warning: Suckrylic brand fiber makes no claims against Frightened Turtle Syndrome, commonly known as “shrinkag”. In cases of FTS lasting more than four hours, please consult a qualified knitter for a longer sweater.

oh man, that one is really bad. i’m a little sad for the guy.

  2. Stephieface says:

He looks like an 80’s soap opera actor…

    Little man indeed

  3. Emma says:

    Ew. That’s juts so…ew.

  4. Kat says:

His swim trunks are so rad.

    Knitwear… pool….
    Knitwear… pool…
What keen mind determined yarn and chlorine were a suitable match.

Hope they clean the pool filter regularly.

  6. Madame D says:

Wow, I know there’s nothing I like better than to slip on a nice form-fitting sweater when I’m about to jump in and do a few laps-it’s so nice to see that there’s a man out there to be my new swim buddy!

I simply do not know where to begin with that photo. The model’s expression, the knit, the pool. No wonder knitting fell out of fashion back then. Those editors must have been on LSD.

  8. cyn says:

i’m sure he was some sort of lady killer, with all that… shrinkage. i mean, the hair alone would’ve driven them wild, but add the pretty purple acrylic?

  9. April says:

I came a little too lose to getting sick that time ****shudder****

  10. Shannon says:

OK, let’s talk about this guy’s clavicle! the chain going subtley below the lovely knitted object. It’s really not about knitting, it’s about subjugation – the don’t mess with me or I’ll knit you a cover-up (not really) – class of knitting. I’m scared!

  11. Mandy says:

Oh, wow. You’ve found a real winner this time. I wonder what that guy would do now if you showed him that photo…

  12. ricki says:

“knitwear” and “pool” go together about as well as “shag carpeting” and “bathroom.”

  13. Mary Lee says:

Hey…isn’t that Roger Moore? Didn’t he model knitwear?! I think he did, but I don’t remember where I saw the photos.

  14. Patricia says:

If he had a mustache, he’d look like my dear friend Dave in that age/era! What a hoot.

  15. karrie says:

This is such a fantastically horrible photo that i want to surreptitously make it the background on the computers of each and every one of my co-workers.

  16. karrie says:

And though i can’t explain why, I kinda want it to be my background for a while – i guess to keep my laughing to myself all day. oh, and to cover my tracks.

  17. BernaWeaves says:

OH MY GAWD! There is nothing right with this photo. The pose is nothing anyone would do in real life. His hair and swimtrunks are too disturbing. But the sweater? Purple? Female neckline? Formfitting? POOL? This had to have been the ONLY one made.

  18. Carol says:

LOL Just what I need, a pool sweater.

  19. Jenn says:

You know: what we really need here is an “After” shot– once he’s gone swimming…

And that sweater has stretched down to his knees like a purple fishing net…

  20. kikiluscious says:

You so totally said, “soggy hairpiece that leaks”. I may never be the same.

  21. “Check out my Roger Moore impersonation!”

  22. Cathy says:

Excuse the expression, but how hard up did this ‘model’ have to be to agree to this shoot? Incomprehensible.

  23. Jon says:

I actually find this photograph kinda sexy. This makes me question my sanity.

  24. KAT says:

I don’t know what’s funnier, the photo or all the comments about the photo. You guys are killing me!
