It’s a momentous day here in America. There’s a buzz in the air and people are excited about taking part in an amazing process. Although it’s been part of American life for years, this time is different. There’s more on the line and an array of elements make it more complicated, but so rewarding. It will connect people in a way it never has. Issues like weapons of mass destruction, public health, and global environment are at the center of the platform and it’s all up to those who participate.

Yes, truly a great day. The new Ratchet and Clank game for PS2 is being released today!! I can’t wait. I already put one on reserve. This is the third in a series of Ratchet and Clank games and this one has a whole new set of cool weapons and has online gameplay! Can you stand it? Every year a new one comes out and I’m obsessed until I finish the game. The only problem is that I can’t pick it up today because the store is near my work an hour away. I’m working from home today because I went to vote and didn’t know how the lines would be.

Oh yeah, GO VOTE!! Make an afternoon of it. Go get a cup of coffee and a pastry. If you’re at work, tell your boss you’re taking a liberty break. If you’re at home, put the knitting in a bag and go! GO GO GO!! Then feel smug for the rest of the day because you are a good citizen and are exercising your rights, even if you don’t exercise anything else put Splenda in your coffee, it’ll be fine. If you don’t, you’re not allowed to complain OR gloat if your guy loses/wins. No votey no gloaty – no moany. Also, it would be good if you voted for Kerry. Just as a personal favor, ¢â‚¬Ëœkay?

On the knitting front, Manly is done pictures to come at some point. It came out ok, but I’m not thrilled with it. It’s my first knitted thing with sleeves, and you can tell. The sleeves came out waaay bigger than the armhole. Now, a different, better kind of knitter would have ripped them out and made them over. I’m just not that kind of knitter. I MADE them fit. Now the sleeves are a little puffy and vaguely piratey. Also, I should have made a medium. Take this as a guide with the Manly sweater from Stitch and Bitch, if your guy normally wears a medium, but measures a small in the pattern, make the medium. I blocked the crap out of it and just short of turning into taffy, the sleeves came out ok and it’s no longer a belly-sweater.

Also, I love Oprah’s new hairdo. She looks great. SWEET MERCIFUL CRAP her guest today appears to be Johnny Depp. Forget you, I’m outta here!

I can’t believe you are in love with Ratchet and Clank as much as I am!!!! I have been waiting for this game to come out the minute I beat Going Commando! I felt like I was going to burst when I found out it was coming out, that was about 5 months ago! Have you play Jak & Daxter or Jak II? Those are another series I love.

Anyway, I was really excited to find that I’m not the only knitter who’s in love with playing video games!

I cannot believe that I didn’t know about Johnny Depp!!!!! I don’t usually watch Oprah, as I am always out driving kids around after work, but today I could have made a point of being home. Waaaah!

Johnny Depp is so hot, and I missed a chance to see him on Oprah? ARGH! Not that i was home this afternoon anyway, but, well, I could have taped it. OOOOO – and then I could have watched Johnny in all his unbelievable-hottie glory OVER and OVER again. Don’t even get me started on Pirates of the Caribbean. I may have to watch it again tonight. 😉

My partner is convinced that I’m leading a double life and posing as Stitchy McYarnpants. The Ratchet and Clank post pushed him over the edge. I tell him I can only aspire to be as cool as Stitchy, and secretly wish for her to be my new best friend.

Dagnabbit! I missed Johnny D on tv today? ARGH! He and Nicolas Cage are my favorite guy-babes. I’ve been enjoying the trailers for Nick’s new movie and can’t wait to go see it. And Johnny in Chocolat…..mmmmmmm….. two delights in one…..Loved that movie….love Johhny Depp!

Eh, Johnny Depp. He was kicked off Hump Island for being a prick. Sometimes they just shouldn’t be allowed to speak, you know?

I also aspire to be as cool as Stitchy. She is my kind of non-rippin’ knitter. Chant it with me now “make it fit, make it fit, block it out, block it out.”

mmmmmmmm……..Johnny Depp….and…what’s Ratchet and Clank? I typically avoid video games, but man, that’s a Good Name.

So, my overzealous new friend, did you take an extra vitamin yesterday? Are you still as upbeat today? I’m a little down and out and pessimistic myself. Want to come to Plymouth and cheer me up?

    Haha…that was funny.

I remember back in the day when Johnny Depp was in the very first issue of SASSY magazine…and 21 Jump Street…

ahh…how well he has aged…like a fine wine.
