Um, hey, so go check out Boston.com NOW!!!! I’m on the front page of the news section. Weird. Totally weird. I don’t know how long it will take for someone ther to realize that I’m not a serial killer or something, and therfore not entirely “newsworthy”, but I’ll ride the wave while it’s rolling. And if it’s no longer on the front page by the time you read this – I swear it was there. Here’s the article that is featured in today’s paper. It’s worth buying the papaer because it has color pictures from the book. Suh-weet fancy Moses!

If you came here‚ from Boston.com, welcome. I’m a total dork and filled with girlish glee to have you. hee hee!

Oh once they do the DNA test, they’ll know for sure that you are guilty. Wait, I mean innocent, or um, maybe you should talk to your lawyer.

    Congrats!

  2. Lisa says:

I can attest that it was there (seems to be gone now) but it brought me here and I’m happy I found this place – I sent a link to your blog to all my friends since it brought a smile to my face – how fun for you! Congrats!

  3. tina says:

according to the stats on the front page of boston.com you are the 2nd most emailed article and rising!! congrats! it was a super cute article.

i am so bummed that you are going to be in Hadley, MA at the end of the month since i will be moving there a month later. grrr. i have such bad timing. have lots of fun on your tour.

  4. Carole says:

Already seen it and read it and I’m so proud of you! And to think, I knew you when . . .

  5. Dorothy B says:

Hilarious article. Glad I’m not the only one who makes up weird stories about people.

  6. caro says:

I love that you’re on the ‘most emailed’ articles list. Way to go!

  7. Candice says:

Has any one ever told you you look exactly like Tony Blair… Just kidding, congrats on making it to the front page!

  8. Amber says:

    Great article! Congratulations!

  9. rv says:

I’m here because of the boston.com article (which, regrettably, has no pictures). I love the Museum of Kitschy Stitches– you are the Lileks of knitting! Great stuff.

  10. June says:

Congrats, Stitchy! By the time I got to the front page, I saw a picture of a Kangaroo, but… :)

  11. Kim says:

    Yee haw! Congrats!

  12. Laurie says:

I saw that today! You are SO cool. News! You!

  13. Cathy says:

Okay, so I found you (for the first time, and for which I will be forever grateful) thanks to the article on boston.com. I spent WAY to much time reading most if not all blog entries and spewing various beverages out of my nose, when I should have been a)working b)performing one childcare task or another c)preventing the cats from destroying more furniture and d)picking burrs off the dog. Time well spent.

  14. Awesome awesome article! Way to go! And I thought there was no way to go higher than the post about the red yarn coming out of your kitty’s poo…but I was wrong.

  15. Cheryl says:

Shoot, I’m a day late to see you on the front page! Unless you’re the woman whose body was found in a marsh. . .

Congrats, I’m so happy for you!

  16. Franklin says:

I worked in media relations in Boston for years and that kind of placement ain’t easy to get, so way to go! Not that you aren’t richly deserving, of course.

The Garment District. Sigh. I’m so glad to hear it’s still there. When I left Boston it seemed that everything non-yuppie was being converted into a Baby Gap or a condominium.

  17. Julie says:

That’s so exciting! You give new meaning to the phrase “See you in the funny papers”. My kid sis made the Chicago Tribune yesterday – we were all thrilled that her name was in the paper, especially the fact it was not in the obituaries.

  18. Bertha says:

Ha! My husband was reading the Globe the other day and I saw the picture of the book and I was like “Hey! I know that girl!” and my husband was all “who?” and I was like “Stitchy McYarnpants! I know her from the internet!” I’m not sure why my husband seemed unimpressed…
Anyway…just had to delurk to give you that vital piece of information.

  19. Laurie says:

Great article! Our Stitchy, we have to share her with the world now…

    *sniff*

  20. jessica~ says:

Whoo hooo! Great article. I haven’t hit that store is SO long. Sounds like you found some more really great stuff!

  21. Carol says:

Way cool! Congrats on being the #1 emailed subject! I’m digging through my “archives” of old mags in the house (inspired by you of course) & I may have to dedicate a post to you. I swear I have a couple of the patterns in your new book!

  22. Jen says:

Great article! Any chance there will be book tour dates in Canada? Our longer winters guarantee there is a lot of bad knitting to be seen. (My grannie knit my brother and me a new acrylic sweater with a different intarsia animal every year)

  23. Monica says:

I was tipped off by Bookish Wendy. Great article, congrats!

  24. Way to go! Publicity… and Franklyn’s sheep (I assume). I’m re-updating links on my blog (because i accidentally deleted them all when I “simiplified” my blogger template. :-(

  25. Cara says:

Was out of town – but YAY! That’s fantastic!
